Dr. Amin Mery is a native Texan who received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio.
Read Full BioDr. Amin Mery is a native Texan who received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio. He then performed his residency at Brackenridge Hospital of Austin as part of the Austin Medical Education Program. Dr. Mery completed his fellowship in adult and pediatric allergy and immunology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, where he performed research in mast cell biology, a critical component of allergic disease.
Dr. Mery is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology as well as the American Board of Internal Medicine, and he is a member of American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. His advanced training gives Dr. Mery an exceptional understanding of the clinical aspects of asthma treatment, as well as a myriad of immunologic disorders. He is also trained in injection techniques of Botox Cosmetics and dermal fillers. Dr. Mery is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Mery has a number of causes he associates himself with, but one of his biggest is with Privilege To Serve. Founded in 2008, Privilege To Serve is a nonprofit helping orphans & vulnerable children in developing nations to reach their full potential through empowerment of the children, their caretakers & the local grass roots community organizations that support them.
Dr. J. Alex Martinez has been an allergist for the past 20 plus years. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and his medical degree from the University of Kansas.
Read Full BioDr. J. Alex Martinez has been an allergist for the past 20 plus years, he joined Hill Country Allergy & Asthma in 2019, however he is not new to Austin. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and his medical degree from the University of Kansas. After finishing his residency in Internal Medicine at the University Health Science Center in San Antonio, Dr. Martinez completed a fellowship in Allergy at the University of Kansas before making his home in Austin. He was in private practice here for many years but more recently has been a staff allergist at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Killeen caring for active duty soldiers and their families. He is enthusiastic to be back in the Austin area where he can hike and bike on the many trails and attend a variety of live entertainment venues. You may also see him about sampling many of the eateries that the area has to offer. Dr. Martinez also enjoys spending time with family and friends near and far.
Daniel Coffey, MD is Board Certified in Family Medicine and completed residency at LSU Health Science Center Lake Charles Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program.

Reenu Sajan, APRN, FNP-BC was born and raised in India. She obtained her Bachelors from the renowned Christian Medical College CMC, Ludhiana, India. After gaining clinical nursing skills along with teaching skills she migrated to New York to chase her American dream.

After gaining clinical nursing skills along with teaching skills she migrated to New York to chase her American dream. Later moved to Houston, started her family and today she calls her home to be Austin since 2018 along with her husband and two sons. With a 13-year background in critical care, medical surgical and obstetrics nursing, she completed her Masters in nursing to become a family nurse practitioner from The University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center. Reenu is excited and enjoys working at Hill Country Allergy & Asthma as this is her special interest. Outside of work, she enjoys dancing, yoga, Abstract painting, watching movies with family and friends and playing badminton.

Read Full BioJoAnna is a native Austinite, growing up between Austin and Bastrop, attending Southwest Texas State University for her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She received her degree in Physician Assistant Studies from UTMB Galveston in 2001 before joining Austin Heart, where she worked in cardiovascular medicine for almost 21 years before joining Austin Geriatric Specialists, seeing patients in their homes and in the assisted living setting for just over a year prior to joining Hill Country Allergy & Asthma. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, trail running, work outs with her CrossFit Austin tribe, live music, and spending time with family and friends.
The cure for anything is salt water~ sweat, tears or the sea.
